2024年上半年，越南各省市陆续公布了地区生产总值（GRDP）。许多地方增速令人瞩目，有的省份增长率超过14%。2024年上半年，全国国内生产总值（GDP）增速为6.42%。这一成果体现了各级部门、地方和企业界的巨大努力，确保实现增长目标，稳定宏观经济大盘。
越南提出2024年经济增长6.5%的目标。
今年上半年，全国货物出口总额预计为1900.8亿美元，同比增长14.5%。吸引外资持续蓬勃发展，新增项目和新注册资本均大幅增加。2024年前6个月，获批项目1538个，同比增长18.9%；注册资本达到95.4亿美元，同比增长46.9%。
可以看出，积极增长态势是从2024年第一季度开始的。越南政府副总理黎明慨在评价2024年一季度经济形势时指出，在经济面临诸多困难的背景下，经过各地政府的不懈努力，宏观经济基本稳定，通胀得到抑制。2024年第一季度GDP增速达到5.66%，是2020~2023年阶段的最高水平。
黎明慨副总理指出，政府深入贯彻落实“五个决心”、“五个保证”、“五个加速”的指导方针，在困难面前不退缩、不止步，促进经济增长、保持宏观经济大局稳定、抑制通货膨胀、做好保障和改善民生工作，全力以赴完成或超额完成2024年的目标任务。
凭借上述的努力，2024年第二季度越南经济增速达到6.93%。企业生产经营活动在经历多月困难后逐步恢复，新成立企业数量往往高于关闭企业数量。
